Never heard of that technique Bob.  we used to ferment  apple juice(but you
could use anything fermented) then you pour it in a tea kettle that has
copper  tubing in the spout so the steam will flow into the tubing . ran the
coils in a bucket of water and out.  Alcohol steam rises first and as its
cools drips into the jar.  Now that was white lightning .....when a match will
ignite it you know your on the right track.  It has to be filtered properly or
you can really hurt yourself..........(seriously)....I been seeing double ever
since.....all my pumpkins have been in the 4 digits yet no one ever gives me a
prize............... so go figure..............mb
