Re: Tertiary vines


I generally prune them as soon as I see the bud developing. It's nice to 
control vine sprawl as this makes it easier to move around the plant 
without damage. Concerning leave count, my experience has shown me that 
by leaving primary and secondary vines to grow to full potential, or 
close to it, that the number of leaves gewnerated from these 2 vines 
will be more than adequate to get healthy growth on plant.No sense 
letting tertiary vine growth take energy from main plant. Pumpkinpiper
