Bill,
Remay is lighter than burlap and doesn't absorb water (which can also add
to its weight). It is more expensive and more fragile. If you can keep it
from snagging and tearing, it won't rot like burlap.
There are positive and negative sides of each, I'd say. But both will work.
BTW, I'm still waiting for winter. It's gotta be out there somewhere!
