Brett..thanks for the updates...I find them informative and a great
motivation.(not to mention good dream material).One way people learn about
growing or selecting seeds is by following proven growers and asking
questions.You are now arguably a HEAVY HITTER in this hobby and I have a
question for you....I am curious why you selected your 688 as a candidate
for you patch next year over your 720 which grew it. The 720 performed
admirably agains same climate contestants(Pappas took 2nd,I took second at
our weighoffs with it) and showed a consistancy in weighing heavy.I know you
grew the 720 to 688lbs,weighing in heavy,in a test patch that was small and
I'm sure less cared for than some others.Your 688 is listed as open
pollinated also. I am not asking "Why are you growing the 688 over the
720!!!??? But,Why are you growing the 688 over the 720? Teach me Oh Great
Pumpkinguru....what are the thought processes here...?....................G
