IPGA seed auction day 5

Hello Pumpkin growers,
                                   Congratulations to Wayne Kennedy. Wayne's
bid of $60 was the highest for Day 4. Thank you Wayne for your bid. Today
there will be six seeds in the auction. Pay particular attention to the
*Asterik* and note by the 1036 Kline. The 1036 is a marginal grade seed,
which explains why we have added the extra seed. In case you are new to the
auction or if this will be your first time to bid, be sure to read the rules
carefully.
All bids are to be submitted privately to the following address:
Brad2Julie@aol.com NO BIDS SENT TO THE PUMPKINS@MALLORN LIST WILL BE
ACCEPTED. Otherwise we would have a list full of bids cluttering up our
e-mail. This is a silent auction(i.e. nobody will know what you have bid.)
Keep in mind though, If you win, your winning bid will be posted the following
day. The Day 5 offer will end at Midnight Friday. BIDDING WILL RESUME MONDAY
MORNING. There will be five seeds a day offered up for bid. The seeds are
to be bid on as a group not individually. You do not have to be a list member
to bid on seeds. As long as you can access these emails through the archives
that is fine. Please bid in whole dollar amounts(i.e. $31, $46 not $46.03).
If all goes well the auction will last for ten days. Everyone who grows
Giant pumpkins is welcomed to bid except for those living in the State of
Oregon. Oregon forbids the sale of vegetable seeds in its state without a
special license which we do not have. If you live in Oregon and would like
seeds please fell free to email me to discuss this further.
Todays seeds are:(Bid on the whole group)

            759 Ciliberto = 567.5 Mombert x 968 Zehr
            991 Hunt = 449 Marcellus x 935 Lloyd
            853 Hebb = 885 Wentzell x 898 Hebb(squash)
            937 Mombert= 567.5 Mombert x 946.5 Geerts
            687 Hunt = 935 Lloyd x 941 Eaton
*See Note 1036.5 Kline = 968 Sproule x 688.5 Kline

* When Todd Kline opened his pumpkin he found that most of his seeds
were covered with a black mold some better/worse than others. After he
dried these seeds. He then tested 8 of the seeds to see if they would
germinate. 6 of them did. Keep this in mind today when you bid. There are
very few 1036.5 seeds to be had only about 60 as I understand. Most of them
were beyond salvage. We have one which has a few black spots on it. Since it
was such a big pumpkin we have included it as a bonus seed but wanted you to
know the condition of the seed before you bid.

For more detailed information about these seeds and their
backgrounds. Check out the new cucurbyte web at:
               http://mindspring.com/~neps/aggc.htm

I hope you all enjoy the auction during the next 2 plus weeks.
If you have any further questions feel free to ask. Thank you
               for your support.

Brad Walters
