I did some number crunching and came up with a rough estimate of what 2001
might produce.
I predict that this year's largest pumpkin will weigh 1213.7 lbs. This
estimate is based on a linear plot of previous year's records dating back
to 1990. I personally believe that number is a little high, but the
numbers don't lie. Maybe if I create a plot using spline
approximization...
