Re: What now....
I'll post this to the world about my clone. I had a great plant from Marc,
and if I had one again, I would plant it. I am positive from my experience,
that a clone, with a little prodding, could have grown a thousand pounder.
I'll take some heat for that comment, but I really think it is very very
possible. My clone plant was a monster. The main vines were as big around
as my wrist, and were every bit as vigorous as my other plants in the patch.
If it hadnt been for a freak hail storm in August, I could have seen my clone
fruit reaching 700+ pounds. The fruit was growing 20 pounds a day at the
time of the storm, and was just getting going. I was very pleased with the
plant, especially since I didnt expect much in the first place. Having a
year of growing the clone plant under my belt, I would be able to care for it
better than before. One of the major mistakes I made was with fertilizer on
it. It needs different fertilizer schedules. The first difference is with
high Phosphorus fertilizer. The clone needed that until late June to develop
a good root base. I quit a few weeks to early, and about mid July realized
it needed more. After 2 weeks of Miracle gro, the fruit began to grow at 20
lbs a day. I'll answer any questions you may have, if you have any.
