The town of Ladysmith on Vancouver Island has undertaken an ambitious =
project this year. Under the guidance of John Meloche, there will be a =
three day pumpkinfest on October 25, 26 and 27.There are numerous =
activities planned including trying for a new world record for the =
largest pumpkin pie. All the activities and details can be found on the =
official web site designed by webmaster John Meloche. It will be updated =
regularly as more details become available. Please don't hesitate to =
comment on the web site and its content. Please visit =
www.vanislepumpkinfest.com for details.
What this means is instead of two or three small weigh-offs, there will =
be one major one on Vancouver Island. I look forward to being a part of =
this festival.
Have a great growing year.

List,
The 786.5 Mary Cali is listed in the seeds for sale section of the
OVGPG newsletter as 801.5 Stelts X 1056.5 Stellpflug. The AGGC site has it
listed X the 798.5 Cali. Anyone know which is right?
Does anyone have the snail mail and e-mail for Dave and Ashley
Creuziger?
As always, Thank You,
Alan R.
****************************
Greetings Alan Reynolds---just happen to have a little brown envelope here
with writing on it from Mr Calai.
It says----- 786.5 Calai 01---801.5 Stelts 97 x 1056.5 Stellpflug 98
In these matters the grower is always right---primary evidence.
My pleasure--Al Eaton

Hello to all my fellow California growers
Ok I have done so asking around and found out how this Round Robin thing
works. Just so you know what you are getting into, if you are interested in
joining you will need a pack of seeds for everyone who joins in. Example if
Bob, Tom, Chris and Larry all wanted to take part along with the guy who
starts the ball rolling. Each person would send 5 packs of their seeds they
grew this year or last or when ever to the head guy. He would then make up
the mailing order and put in his 5 packs of seeds along with the remaining
4 packs from every one else and mail to first person. I am told that it is
fun to put photos of your self and letters that talk about you and your
pumpkin growing experience, in along with the seeds. Now you all know how
much I like surprise so i thought it would be fun to also put in a pumpkin
trinket , you know something pumpkin like a pumpkin key chain or like a
tee-shirt or a little figurine. Now that part would start with me, I would
put a little something in the box and the first person to get the box would
get one pack of seeds from each grower and then look at the photos and reed
the cards and letters take the pumpkin trinket I put in the box out to keep
as their surprise and then put their gift to the next person into the box
and mail it to the next person on the list and so on and so forth..
So what do you think are you interested? if so we need to get the ball
rolling A.S.A.P Email me privately and let me know if you are in when I
find out how many I will let you know how many packs of seeds you need to
send me. I have to make the cut off for this Jan 25 2002 as we need to get
rolling. I already have a very nice person
