One of the theories concerning people leaving the list was lack of news.
Here is my experience of the day. My soil test kit was in the mail.Come home
just before dark, grab shovel, scrape snow from patch, dig through frost,
get sample of dirt from many places, bring inside to dry. 
The hardest part was explaining to my wife why the dining room table is
the ONLY place to dry the dirt before mailing to the lab tomorrow.
When the results come back from the lab I will be asking for interpretations.
