Beth,
Doc Pumpkinstein is a nickname for Rick Dickow of Menlo Park , Calif. A
very good and dedicated grower who is somewhat eccentric.....I'm a fine one to
talk about eccentric growers, pumpkin boat piloting is not exactly a normal
thing to do. Doc is a good man and will help you out if you live out that way.
As I recall, Doc started out with a plant or two in his yard. Next year he
tilled up a little more lawn for some more plants. I understand his house does
not have a lawn any more....his house is surrounded by pumpkins. One of the
West coast growers will have to confirm this story.
