Hello Ron

On the above point I can add an interesting fact.
 
 Having looked at the mothers of the 700+ 1997 official AG pumpkins---I
found that 60% of the mothers were of 1996 vintage.

Considering all the seeds available from earlier years,I found this a bit
surprising.So then I went back to the 96 crop and found that 58% were grow
from 95 fruit.

So I think the pattern is there,ie.60% of the best each year are from the
"unproven seed" of the previous year. I would expect this figure to increase
to increase to 75% once the "567.5 mombert 92" is all gone.
