Hello Joe-ok,I'll deal with your letter when it arrives and I propose to
send you a 4 generation,32 ancestor pedigree of your 408 Mills 97.I can see
that your fruit has excellent genes and if conditions are just right could
produce as well as any seeds out there.

Also you might want to send the pedigree to your South American contacts,if
they are keen growers perhaps you'll start a new tribe of AG's there.

Just need a little more info to complete the 408 pedigree:

-Was the 540 Castellucci from 95 or 96??

-of the two 540 parents named, which was the mother?Just want to be
sure.

                                                                  Al Eaton

P.S.-I think to grow a 408 pounder the first year, especially in your climate
is quite an accomplishment. Now that you have a personal best, that is the
reasonable target to beat.
My first year produced a 259 pounder which was one of the few AG's in this
area.How things have changed!
