Rick-Perhaps someone has the answers to these valid questions,but I do not.
I do know the 609 is listed in the WPC newsletter of Sept,1990 as #12 on the
"World's Heaviest Pumpkins" list.The full name is Helmut Laemmle and he was
from New Jersey.
This is a name that you or some other reader should be able to track down
fairly easily,get his phone number and have a good chat.I would be
interested in hearing what you find out.Perhaps you'll get some information
and even some seeds.It should be done,give it a go and let us know what you
learn.
