Hello, I am a grower in Minneapolis, MN. I have grown some big pumpkins in
the past (100-200 lbs) now I think I am ready for the giants. I saw the
comments on chicken manure, I have a pet potbellied pig and I use his manure
to fertilize my garden. I've never had any problems and it seems to work
really well. Any comments?
One question. How do I get ahold of all these fancy seeds that you all keep
talking about. I am going to need to get the seeds soon so that I can start
them indoors in the next couple of months. Otherwise I'll have to order from
Burpee.
BTW, I planted the Cinderella Heirloom pumpkins last year. They were the most
beautiful, dark orange, uniform shaped pumpkins to ever come out of my garden.
A little to stringy to use for baking though.
Thanks,
Marc
