I have cut the smaller pumpkin from the Bobier. It was a lot shinner than
the larger one which is very dull. Is there any significance in this?
I noticed some of the vine clippings I left on the ground had taken root and
were growing. Does anyone know if a cutting like this will develop a good
root system like the main runner?

Stewart,
Usually the dull pumpkins are getting ready to abort....the shiney pumpkins
generally mean they are healthy and growing
