Joe, OM (organic matter) if you get a professional lab to do you test they
will give you the percent of organic matter found in your sample......Joe
it takes alot of OM to hit 10% so i would venture you might be at 12% if
that.. Now keep in mind as the soil digest your OM.....the percentage will
drop...also keep in mind that you have to really incoporate your OM into
you soil to get a good reading........sounds like your on the right track
the only problem i see is getting the OM mixed well with your
soil.....sometimes rototilling the tines don't get to the
soil.......because you have such a thick layer of OM so you may have to
rake some to the side and then rototill and add as you go.....brock
