Joe,

Joe "Brock" is my last name and my first name is Michael but for some
reason everyone calls me "brock" even my wife...... then there is the mix
up of Vickie Brock on all these e-mail messages because my spouse owns this
computer. I am very lucky she shares it........i grow organic vegetables
and sell them at farmers markets.....but i don't grow these A.G.
organically.......Why don't i grow these A.G.organically is because i need
some place where I can nuke bugs to relieve the frustration of watching 50%
of the crops get munch.......so the A.G are therapy for me.....Now back to
your project you don't have to say it Joe but you haven't had your soil
sent to a lab.......That is the first advice you will get from any serious
A.G grower.....don't resist.......most clay soils are very high in
magnesium so you don't want to use dolmite lime it will make your mag. even
higher........clay soils are rich in minerals but there lock up tight
adding compost helps them loosen......Chris Andersen had the worst clay
adobe you have ever seen but he added a good amount of compost that loosen
things up......I really can't tell you what would better adding sand or
tilling its a judgement call you will have to make.....best of
luck.....brock
