Howdy all. I'd appreciate some input on an idea I have concocted to help
shade and cool the plants from the summer sun.
I was thinking of constructing a 30 X 30 pvc framework (some of which will
already be in place from the temporary spring warming structure-Emmons
style) It would be approx. 10' high and support a single, large sheet of
remay. The remay would be the lightweight with 90/95% light transmission.
Air circulation should continue to be good.
I know a 5% light reduction doesn't sound like much, but do you think the
slight shading would temper the hot MD sun enough to be worth the effort?
I know the subject of misters has come up and that also sounds like a
great idea. How do you think the two would work in conjunction with one
another?
Thanks,
