Thanks pumpkineers for your input, in response ........................
Your idea of using the dog house to shelter your pumpkin is great.
Have you discussed it with your dog??
    Marv in Altoona
Marv: Yes. The dog understands. Wife however is another story.
    Here's another Wisconsinite! We're everywhere!

Rick: I'm with ya !

night!
get limp and a little wilty in the afternoon compared to how stiff
and rigid they are in the morning. At night the sun is out of
course,temps
drop, RH is usually higher, and the roots are able to catch up and
increase the turgor in the cells and cause the "night-growth"
Thanks for the info. With this in mind when is the best time to water.
Is there a time you should't water ?

I think the doggie/green house idea is smashing and also the name
Duke.
Thank-you. I plan on going ahead and trying it on one of the plants this
year. If Duke grows to be a big dude maybe I could use him for a
doghouse.
    Boy o Boy,your a sly one.........let me get this
straight.........when your wife sends you to the doghouse for paying too
much attention to those
darn pumpkins......she's actually sending you back out to the
pumpkin patch? Wow,that is really slick! I guess that answer's the
question
folks-however old HE is,is the best age for pumpkin growers.

Glen: Thanks for giving me another reason to go ahead and build this
thing. I might have to make it bigger than originally planned however.
Would that be some type of fetish? I mean sleeping with your favorite
pumpkin? Also, how does 36 sound?
.an ole pumpkin pal Harold Waterbury hit 911 at 87 years of age. He
really like to keep his pumpkin warm, many cover the pumpkin at
night....at certain temps...and off course if you go to far with
fruit temp it will rot.............ahhhh!!!....mb
Mike: Does Harold believe this helped? And if he believed it did, Why?

Thanks; John"Cornhusk" Barlow
