Angela,
Seed choice is about the toughest guess a grower has to make. So many seeds look
good on paper but in the field don't match the expectation.....this is the major
frustration....and for the life of me I don't understand....personally I think
that there has to be other facters involved like root rots etc..have to blame
something....there is an attraction to the seeds that have popped biggies
......and maybe there is the cutting edge of evolution of the strongest
survive. I think this is true for all offsprings of living things you get the
average, the runts, and the giants. Where the shuffle lies in seeds is no ones
knowlege really ......you have better bets at least we think so.....in choosing
the big mother...........and thats tied to the genetics.............but then
theres those that have great genetics but not the right perfect conditions and
only reach an average weight............does that mean the lower weights acheived
is less than the possibilities they own in... in primo condittions we don't know
!! In my oppinion theres is so much potential out there in most
seed........that it is up to the grower to bring the potential to
reality................and sure there is seed more prone to do that....but no one
knows for sure.......where it is????..........are the guys that keep popping big
ones pychic....or do there have there soils tweaked and in perfect condition and
are more consistant in there cultural practices.....I put my bet on the
practices...............brock
