Unfortunately, the kitchen is on the second floor...probably not a very
good place for your tractor.
I'm still quite new at the hydroponics biz, and am growing all sorts of
stuff...peas, beans, tomatos, lettuce, watermelon, canteloupe, hot peppers,
cucumbers, cape gooseberries, garden huckleberries strawberries, parlsey,
basil, oregeon, and endive...all on a 3x3 foot hydroponic table that's
problably going to be surrounded by a kitchen full of vines in a few more
weeks. I think a giant pumpkin would fit right in!
The idea is to make my growing mistakes on the current crop, and also use
it to get a feel for how fast things will grow in a set up like this, and
after that's all sorted out, come begging for a pumpkin seed to grow a
giant pumpkin (um...er...to butcher for Halloween).
I checked your archives and saw a few questions about hydroponic pumpkins,
but nobody admitting to growing them. But in my kitchen, I can control the
pH, the temperature, the lighting, the nutrients, and the water supply very
easily. (The only problem is that door!) So I'll keep reading and
learning for now, and later if someone can maybe spare a pumpkin seed, I'll
like to let you know how well it grows in a hydroponic set up.

PS...you folks are a lot more fun than the hydroponic list!
