Germination

If you soak the seeds 12 - 24 hrs in water, there is no need to file the
seed coats or worry about moisture content. I think most of the
germination problems with good seed are lack of water. If the soaking
occurs in a clear glass jar you can swirl the seeds to keep wet until they
break below the surface tension. This lets you see whats happening. Once
they are below water level this indicates they are taking in water. After
soaking they can go outside or into damp paper towles in plastic bags. Air
every few hrs by unfolding the paper towles. If they are placed on a warm
surface they could start germinating in 2 days. After this you can handle
as normal. Roger
