mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
First of all there is no next year its all NOW baby!!
I said this before its like a kid in a candy store everywhere you look they
all look sweet. And its hard to decide.... I was writing the group to see
if anyone had noticed that seeds closer to your region seem to do better??
Most the top pumpkins in Canada are from seed from that region. Big Chris
Mr. 977 really had a micro climate with partial shade etc....trying to dup
this would be tough. Were these conditions more like the Canadian
weather??? Is that why a Canadian seed did well here??............Take
the 810 McInnis i don't think it would do well in Ca. Climate. But these
are just hunches. While some try to figure the meaning of life I try and
figure the meaning of the 977. I am on the edge pleagued with giant
pumpkis dancing in my head. Are proven seeds really proven?? Are the odds
better?? Now does anyone else see that there appears to be a pattern that
what we call good seed that have maybe 10 success stories and 150 no
gos........... IF that......is.....some what true and 8 have been hit
already........what are the odds you get the last say 2 if they exist. Help
me on this check the data do pumpkins hit more than 10 over 700+ other than
the Mombert. And better yet how many over 800. Thats what we really want
to know Just a few. The 697cil probably would be an example heavily
planted how many good seeds??? So by the time we all take notice have most
the good seed been hit or taken....... And we chase after it with worse
odds............ than a fresh killer cross seed with all 10 chances
available.?? I am only jawing here.............with hopes to hear other
thoughts to help me develope my theme this year.....................two
years in a row my personal bests have come from untested seed while the
hottest (proven) were just average. So you have to wonder ?? What do you
think??....Brock
