Hello Everyone,
I went to see our county agent last week and he recommended the following for
squash vine borers. These came out of a commercial vegetable insect control
book. Some or maybe all of these are restricted use.

permethrin
(ambush) 2EC
(pounce) 3.2ec
The year that I sprayed on a regular schedule of 7 days using liquid Sevin
,malathion, and methoxychlor I didn't have any trouble with borers. The last
2 years I haven't sprayed that often and have had a lot of trouble with
borers.
