ups and downs

Well I got off to a great start this year. I Inlarged the garden to 55X30 and added 15 loads of horse and cow manuare. I then built five large green houses and installed heeting cables in two off them. Last week I had pollinated a 1,036 Kline at 11' and a 914 Wentzell at 10' . I had wind fences with rope to stakes so I could cover the plants in bad wheather. This weekend I took my wife and two kids to camp to take a break from the pumpkin patch and catch a few fish. Well I came home tonight by myself only to find all my hard work full of holes. We must of had one bad hail storm and most of the leaves are full of holes and vine tips were broken of. The worst part is my son is growing a 780 Eaton plant that he was working on everyday and it was looking great. I'm not looking forword to seeing my 8 year old sons face when he comes home from camp and sees his plant.   I hope you all have a lot more luck this year then I'm having. Don in "Thunder Bay"
