After looking over the damage to my plants from the hail
storm. It doesn't look good for the leaves on the main vine for 8' and the
secondaries are are damaged to about 6' on each side. Should I redirect a few
vines inward from the secondary vines to replace the damaged leaves. Or would I
be better off just letting the secondary vines continue to grow and mulch the
center of the plant as the leaves die. I would like to hear anyones
thoughts. Also I had all the vines buried and it was a good thing. My
neighbour said the hail was the size of ice cubes with a twister touching
down only a mile from my house, clearing trees for three miles and damaging a
few farms. I,m lucky my plants were even there when I got home....So I
plan to make the best of it. Don d*@air.on.ca
