RE: Growing Techniques

Josh,
I am new to growing Ag pumpkins this year but I did have a person tell me
that feeding them milk was a big key to good growth. Now, I have not tried
that and am not sure I believe in the idea so all I'm doing is passing along
that I have heard that also. I don't see how milk could possibly be of any
benefit but who knows.

I have I question to ask you guys. Has any of you heard of feeding
pumpkins milk or sugar water to make them grow faster? This is done by
cutting a slit in the vine and putting a end of a candle wick inside the
vine and the other end in a bowl filled with either milk or sugar water.
And if so what do you think of this method? Is it legal in most weight
ins? Does it really make it grow faster?

				Grow them big,
				Josh
