RE: Growing Techniques
I know a farmer who could care less about growing pumpkins competitively,
but likes to have a few big ones around the farm for halloween. With
absolutley no care, she grew several 400 hundred pounders, on the same
package of store but seed by feeding them a gallon of milk a day.
she just poured it right on the mound every evening before she went home.
I find that hard to believe, but she and her kids swear it's true. They
think I am nuts with my miracle grow, and king bug killer, custom seed from
PEI, sevin, and the like.
Hope this helps.

I have I question to ask you guys. Has any of you heard of feeding
pumpkins milk or sugar water to make them grow faster? This is done by
cutting a slit in the vine and putting a end of a candle wick inside the
vine and the other end in a bowl filled with either milk or sugar water.
And if so what do you think of this method? Is it legal in most weight
ins? Does it really make it grow faster?
Grow them big,
Josh
