claw holes

Dear Group

I am down to one approx 50" fruit.  I just wet out and lovinginly checked on
it and found claw marks (probably a cat)!
Needless to say I'm stressed.  A set of these claw marks are deep.  How
worried should I be?  Is there anything I can do?
