Ric:
You should not turn AGs. In fact, the less you touch it, the better. Make
sure it is positioned well with relationship to the vine and leave it alone.
Turning pumpkins is sometimes done with small, pepo variety pumpkins to make
sure the sun gets to all sides for good color and the round shape is
preserved. This may be important to a jack o'lantern grower, but is not done
with AGs.
Atlantic Giants have no need to be turned. You should be covering them from
the sun and shape is not as important as losing a fruit from vine or stem
damage as the result of movement. Your fruits should be getting larger soon
and turning them will be nearly impossible.
