RE: Weigh-off sites in the Pacific Northwest

Hi Rich,

We have three weighoffs scheduled in the Northwest at this time.  The first
will be the Puyallup Fair on opening day in the late afternoon.  I believe
it is September 8th.  The big one is the Canby, OR weighoff on the 7th of
October.  This is now a GPC affiliated site for the Northwest.  Carnation is
no longer a wieghoff site.  The following Saturday the 14th of October there
will be a weighoff at the Des Moines site.  It is held at the Haunted House
sposored by an oldies radio station and the Des Moines rotary.  It is held
in the park just north of the Des Moines Marina.  There was talk early this
spring of another potential weighoff later in October, but no site has been
designated and this is still as far as I know just talk.  It may yet occur
and perhaps we'll hear about it in Canby.  Last year the Des Moines weighoff
was a last minute addition and was announced at Carnation.  Lincoln Mettler
helped put that one together for us in a very short time period, he may be
able to pull another rabbit from his hat for us this year.  I hope I'll see
you at one of the events.
