It a war...
I've declared war on the varmints that found my second largest pumpkin... went out this evening and something has been munching on the side of it! At least it was just one, and one that I had even considered culling. So I spent several hours fencing the area off so hopefully this won't happen again. They also pretty much took care of the watermelons but that's okay - they weren't doing much anyway. So it more room for the pumpkins. I took everyone's suggestions on pulled out all but a couple of vines last weekend and everything looks good. So I'll keep my fingers crossed! Jetta in VA
