Hello, just wanted to say what a “Awesome” webpage you have.. Judy -----Original Message----- Mound One - 789 Zunino: Five pumpkins are pollinated, the biggest already volleyball sized. Beautiful long stems on all the fruit. The plant is now 26 feet long and 27 feet at the widest point. A mystic, elegant plant with bright yellow vines and yellow fruit. Mound Two - 846 Calai: Lair of the Dragon - This plant has pounced down the patch and the dragon root has simply possessed the patch. Nothing can stop it. Five pumpkins are pollinated including a beautiful five lober 13 feet out on the main vine. Fruit are long and yellow with faint green stripes. The plant is 27 feet long and 28 feet at the widest point. The leaf canopy is 400 square feet. It is huge, powerful looking and hungry. My best plant ever.
Mound Three - 983 Ciliberto: This plant has snapped back from some heat damage and is tolerating the current heat wave better than the Calai. There are two pumpkins pollinated including a six lober 11 feet out on the main. The plant measures 22 feet long and 23 feet wide. Mound Four - 937 Mombert: This plant is growing slowly and only measures 18 feet long by 15 feet wide. I'm going to let it grow a bit more before setting pumpkins. I've finished my grower's log for last month. It has a time lapse of the amazing Calai growing. It takes a while to load if you have a slow connection but is well worth the wait: http://home.pacbell.net/diana_do/saga9.htm vince |
