Vince/Diana?,
Excellent site as usual! I'm waiting to see if I can pollinate
the 789 soon but still trying to keep groundhogs out of the patch. As you know
they're the most devastating animal to pumpkins(that I know of). I will keep you
informed. Did anyone you know of plant Hera's seeds?:)

Mound Three - 983 Ciliberto: This plant has snapped back from some heat damage and is tolerating the current heat wave better than the Calai. There are two pumpkins pollinated including a six lober 11 feet out on the main. The plant measures 22 feet long and 23 feet wide. Mound Four - 937 Mombert: This plant is growing slowly and only measures 18 feet long by 15 feet wide. I'm going to let it grow a bit more before setting pumpkins. I've finished my grower's log for last month. It has a time lapse of the amazing Calai growing. It takes a while to load if you have a slow connection but is well worth the wait: http://home.pacbell.net/diana_do/saga9.htm vince |
