Re: Ciliberto 983/ flat vines

IMHO, the flat vining is due to genetics. My 983 Ciliberto flat vined at
about 6 ft and is now at 19ft. The main vine is 5.5in wide. The upside to
this 1 yr. disaster is I have about 30 pumpkins to pollinate. There are 2-4
pumpkins at ea. leaf axil.
       Oh well, at least it will be interesting to watch. Best of luck to
all you non-flat vining 983 growers.
