No. Yes it does. No, we cover AG blooms so other AG or Maxima pollen doesn't 
contaminate the genes to keep the cross pure.  Bees carry pollen from many 
other sources, and deposit pollen as they pick up some on every bloom they 
visit. 

If pollen was pollen, then we would certainly have some very interesting 
flowers and vegetables, as I am sure bees visit many blooms in a day. 

Here's a grossly simplified explanation. Humans do not breed with chimps, 
although we look somewhat alike and our genes are quite similar, indeed. Our 
particular DNA does not match a chimps, so a cross will not occur. Same in 
AGs. DNA must be a  match. (one maxima to another is ok, despite size, color 
or shape variances)
