flat vines

i quess it,s time for my 2 cents worth. a couple years ago  i had 4 plants and a buddy down the road had 2 . out of 6 plants we had 3 flat vine . none were genetically related .  we had a cool wet spring.  my thoughts at the time were the temp and moisture. or possibly stress  of some kind. i,m having truoble with the genetics idea.  with enough people talking maybe we can pin it down.     craig
