Re: Alan R. CT update

My 500 and 600 Reynolds are both doing great Alan.  The vines on the 500 are
all very yellow.  The vines on the 600 are all green.  The 500 is still alot
bigger than the 600 but the 600 looks to be growing faster right now.  I will
be pollinating these two plants within a week I believe.  I am going to cross
the 500 with the 600 and the 600 with the 500.  I don't really have the space
to let the 600 get very big, but I will see what I can get out of it.  I
should cut it back, but I just can't seem to do it as it is a fine looking
plant, so I decided to let a pumpkin or two grow on it.  I am sure they won't
get very big, but they will be good for Halloween, and It's the only way I
can get the seeds.  I hope to grow one plant of each of these crosses next
year, and will be sure to have the space for each.  The 500 has been slow to
produce females, considering that the 600 is half it's size, but has many
females on it...........I guess thats just the way it goes........
