I had the same question regarding male flowers, if you don't need them can
they be removed? do they provide anything?
I thought of flower removal for a different reason. Sense all the fruit is set and all I have left to do is a lot of culling, I thought it might be best to remove all flowers at this point before they open. The reason would be to stop attracting cucumber beetles and other flower loving bugs that carry disease. I may not have to do this in Lue of using Warior-T this year - there are no cucumber beetles, not one. Last year on the Seven program, there were hundreds of cucumber beetles in the flowers at all times and I lost my best plant to vine rot, and had plenty of powdery mildew.
just a thought for those that have bug filled flowers. Any comments from the heavy hitters would be great : )
