Yo Teri,
A few years ago I had a spare plant, a squash as it ended up.
I had a compost bin which was 8'x8'x5' deep. I put the plant in there to
grow a few pumpkins for halloween. It grew well, round and round and
eventualy over the side onto the ground and a female which was open
pollinated started to grow. I never fed or watered this plant, but the fruit
carried on growing and growing and was somewher between 400 and
450lb..cannot remember exactly. Now if I would have fed and watered this
plant, what would have been the final weight? Anyway its worth having a try
in your small patch..keep it well fed and watered and who knows?
