Re: Pumpkin or Squash?

I'm growing the variety called Showking-- is it classed as a squash or a
pumpkin?
It belongs to the same species as AG (C. Maxima)  or is it strictly
based on colour?

Are you sure its not Snow King Giant Squash? This would be a
dark, rich green fruit. Its very similar to the Atlantic
Giant pumpkin, and would cross pollinate. (In fact, I think
many have done that...)
