Hi from Alberta, Cliff
The seed I picked up is from Thompson
and Morgan (over-the-counter) at my local garden shop.
Package shows an orange fruit, labelled as Showking, Pumpkin.
Unknown pedigree.
Oh well, we will have to wait til it blooms to find out. I don't really mind if it were either! So long as it gives me at least something in the 500-600 class.... conditions favorable so far! even with a late start. Today is day 53 since seeding, day 31 since setting out.

Are you sure its not Snow King Giant Squash? This would be a
dark, rich green fruit. Its very similar to the Atlantic
Giant pumpkin, and would cross pollinate. (In fact, I think
many have done that...)Regards, Cliff
