RE: My babies are sick!!!!!

Cheryl,
That sounds like squash bugs. Believe it or not those bugs must perform
magical tricks. I have had a few plants that have the same thing "brown,
crusty leaves" and never saw a bug except for today.......a squash bug on
top of a leaf. They will suck the juices out of the plant/leaf causing
that dry look. Those bugs can disappear in an instant, magical. They
are very good hiders, sneaky bastards.
Spray some Sevin and make sure you spray under the leaves and under the
vines, especially around the main root base.

>Help! Two of my plants have leaves that are turning brown and crusty, one
leaf on each plant. There has been no insect damage. I have sprayed with
sulfur powder, thinking that this has to do with all the heat and humidity.
Should I spray with Daconil? We are supposed to have a lot of showers the
next few days, what should my sprating schedule look like? Other than this
little development my plants are growing healthy and fast! Any advice
would
be great. Cheryl<
