Re: Anybody using Drip Irrigation?

Mark: I use drip emitters for my patch. First, you should know that I work
in a very confined area and I have raised beds over a native clay soil. The
size of the garden makes the use of drip very efficient and the raised beds
with the clay base is a good combination as the water drops through the
raised bed, then hits the clay (about 3 feet down) and evenly disburses. I
cannot use overhead watering as my proximity to the coast in combination
with overhead watering causes mildew. My daytime high temps rarely get above
87 degrees. I do a lot of relocating and plugging emitters throughout the
season to get the water in the right place. It can work and is the best
solution for me, but overhead watering is most often the best solution.
