I would see which one grows faster. but it won't be straightforward them being ten days apart.

Subject: Which kin?

Hi,

Newbie here. Set a pumpkin~ 9'-10' out on a main on June 29th. Pumpkin is growing nicely, now between a softball & volleyball in size. On same main set another pumpkin ~ 12' out on July 9th. Is the fact that the first kin was set a week & a half earlier have much impact in terms of growing season or final weight? Or is it better to wait & see which kin seems to be growing faster? Does it matter how far out on the main the pumpkin is, i.e. 9' or 12'?  Thanks!
