I just wanted to thank all of you who responded to my questions! Quite a surprise, actually, to get so many responses. I have a lot to think about, and have ordered the Langevin book II.
Thanks again to: Lyle, Steve, Kathie, Dave and of course Kevin for the humor!
Kathie; Applegate, Oregon is in Southern Oregon adjacent to the Rogue Valley. We are centered about 30miles SW of Medford, 30 miles SE of Grants Pass and 30 miles due North from the California/OR border.
One more question?
Does anyone put anything under their pumpkins like straw or something to prevent them from rotting, or to help them lift them out of the garden when they get huge?
Also,
If all goes fairly well, what would be the possible expectation for the weight of a pumpkin, that is now volleyball sized, after only an additional 30 days on the vine? I was thinking I’d like to get a couple hundred pounder for one of our local fairs which runs in mid August.
Thanks again!
