Perhaps this list is not for you exactly and you should try bigpumpkins
or someplace where you can read on those topics you select and ignore
the rest. But you are the one who opened this particular topic this time
around.
I try to be sensitive and not describe exactly how I grab the cucumber
beetles that laugh at me through clouds of pyrethrin and sevin and rub
them between my thumb and forefinger until their laughter is only an
echo. Or some of the other methods I have had to use on various larvae,
hoppers, Jerusalem crickets, Japanese beetles, etc.
I get no joy from this, and no satisfaction of vengeance, but I do take
pride in defending the pumpkin kiddoes who depend on me for their very
life in this dog-eat-dog life which includes possum-eat-punkin,
borer-eat-vine, towhee-eat-leaf and cuke-beetle-carry-virus world.
