Vince the numbers game is tied to so many variables....that fudging one way
or the other still works. Environment plant size, fert, weather, experience
to avoid probs, genetics..... They all play a huge roll..
... But I like what you said about "wants to be big and desire"..........
....I look at day 35 they either take the high road or the lower..meaning
they still clock a 4-8 inch ott...
.....but the bottom line is nothing is real cut and dry. Its always
wonderful to get those good starts.....even the outrageous starts because of
the excitement... but from examing fruit culls I think that the potential
problem areas are born in those early days.
And its the pumpkins with a good survivor rate that can withstand and hold
it together smashing the benchmarks.10-20-30...and blazing new
territory........perhaps as time moves on new benchmarks...
.....but the survival rate and genetics will be key......plus a lot of good
luck........and of course no one really knows how the chips will fall so
never give up on a fruit.........when the smoke clears it might be the
areas best.
