Bill Sadowski, in Ohio and still trimming off rotten leaves
Hi Bill
It was nice seeing you in Ohio on Sunday. You're still better off than me. I've already pulled my 846 Calai and severely pruned a second with disease. I haven't had to trim any leaves on the remaining plant but I did trim my last pumpkin from it on Tuesday evening. It was a great grower on 723 Bobier measuring 73 inches at 20 days. Made it to 87 inches and stopped with soft stem.
I'm the second stop on the PGPGA tour so my patch could be "the make up for lost time stop" I do have my long gourds and my wife's melon patch is still healthy so it won't be a total waste of time. Looking forward to seeing all who make the PGPGA tour and looking forward to next season already. I'll still try to get a late pollination but the heat here has made that a battle too.
