RE: fertilisers
Don't worry too much about the calcium in your primary fertilizer, as it
will not be readily available for your fruit. Use chelated calcium instead.
It is my understanding that the regular calcium can get locked up in your
soil depending on other nutrient levels. For your primary fertilizer,
concentrate on the levels of N-P-K you want.

Subject: fertilisers
ok,
i need to order my fruit boosting fertiliser soon (this week) and want to
ask
you opinion.
I am watering with river/stream water.
do i go for Scotts Universol 9 - 9 - 27 +3Mgo
or
Scotts Peters Excel 13 - 5 - 20 +7Ca0 +2MgO +TE
or maybe something else you would recommend.
the reason i ask is because of all the discussions of calcium boosting fruit
weight etc - so that is why i was thinking about the peters excel, or maybe
i
can mix something in with the other brand?
thanks in advance for your help.
Chris
